This was a freehand study I did of Amy Johnson for practice. Amy was a the English "Amelia Earhart" and was contemporary with Amelia. Amy Johnson flew solo from England to Austrailia and from England to Africa. During WWII, Amy was a ferry pilot. Her plane was lost, supposedly due to a navigation error, and crashed in the river. A rescue ship attempt failed and her body was never recovered.
