I think kids are sometimes the greatest subjects.I did a piece called "Imagination". Mine has the boy in a box pretending to be after the Red Baron.

I agree. My next project is my next door neighbor, 10 years old, wants to be a fireman. My wife took him down to the local fire station and got some awesome reference shots.

Artist's Description

One of the young kids in the neighborhood loves everything about planes and flying. He often borrows my helmet and goggles that I use for painting props and wears them while he plays his flying games on the computer. My wife snapped a picture of him and it gave me the idea for the painting - the Dreamer.

Bob Wilson, Jr. has inherited his fathers talent. After making a career at the Charleston Naval Shipyard as an engineer, Bob, Jr. started up a desktop publishing business called Fine Art Reproductions that is primarily involved in the reproduction of art work done by Charleston, SC low country artists. He has recently started painting again. His colored pencil sketch “A Weaver’s Prayer was the first piece he did in over twenty five years. He studied the art of portrait painting under his father and has embarked on a career in the fine art of portraiture.
